BCF has always taken seriously the protection and use of the information and data of our customers and those involved in ministry with us.
With new standards in-place, BCF is intent on complying with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We have developed the following policy and disclosures to comply with GDPR. Although the GDPR is mandated by the EU, we are committed to the same treatment and care of the data of anyone with whom we at BCF interact.

Please note that we (BCF) reserve the right to update the Privacy and GDPR Policy periodically to adapt to any future requirements.
General Privacy Policy BCF collects information that you provide directly to us. For example, we collect information when you participate in the following:
  • Subscribe to email or blog lists
  • Create an account
  • Purchase materials or other items sold by BCF
  • Register or inquire about a BCF course
  • Contact us for any reason such as to make an inquiry about BCF services or materials, provide comments or feedback
  • Post messages in forums, in reply to media posts
  • Participate in a survey, contest, or sweepstakes
The types of information we may collect include your name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number, fax number, username, church name, credit card, or any other information the BCF Websites collect or BCF collects via direct personal communication that is defined as personal or personally identifiable information under an applicable law or any other identifier by which you may be contacted online or offline.
Information We Collect Automatically When You Use Our Services When you access our web or online services, we automatically collect information about the use of the Services including:
  • Log Information: We log information about your use of the Services, including the type of browser you use, access times, pages viewed, your IP address and the page you visited before navigating to our Services.
  • Device Information: We collect information about the computer or mobile device you use to access our Services, including the hardware model, operating system and version, screen resolution, color and depth, device identifiers and mobile network information

Advertising and Analytics Services Provided by Others We may allow others to serve advertisements on our behalf across the Internet and to provide analytics services. These entities may use cookies, web beacons, mobile device identifiers, and other technologies to collect information about your use of the Services and other websites, including your IP address, web browser, pages viewed, time spent on pages, links clicked and conversion information. This information may be used by SmugMug and others to, among other things, analyze and track data, determine the popularity of certain content, deliver advertising and content targeted to your interests on our Services and other websites and better understand your online activity. GDPR Data Processing Policy The Biblical Counseling Foundation (“BCF”) recognizes that the European Economic Area (the “EEA”) has established strict protections regarding the handling of EEA personally identifiable information, with emphasis on the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). In recognition of the importance of GDPR, BCF has adopted the following GDPR Data Processing Policy (the “Policy”).
This Policy is intended to ensure that you understand the following: (a) the entity that is collecting your personal data; (b) the purposes for which your personal data is collected; (c) how and why your personal data will be used; (d) the period during which your data will be retained; and (e) how you can contact BCF regarding your data.
This Policy supplements the BCF Privacy Policy located  here  and unless specifically defined in this Policy, defined terms in this Policy have the same meaning as they do in the Privacy Policy
Entity/Data Controller Any data collected through  bcfministries.org  or  bcfministries.myshopify.com  (collectively the “BCF Websites”) or any other website associated with, or related to, the BCF Websites will be collected by the Biblical Counseling Foundation which is a not for profit organization formed in Arlington, Virginia USA with its principal place of business located at 42550 Aegean Street, Indio, California 92203

Categories of Data Subjects and Data Collected BCF only collects data from users who either join, or engage with, the BCF Websites, contacts BCF directly via mail, electronic correspondence, telephone, or in-person contact. BCF is committed to only collecting data that is necessary for BCF to provide the content and services on the BCF websites, delivery of printed or electronic materials, and for ongoing training.
The BCF Privacy Policy describes the categories of personally identifiable information that BCF may receive including: name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number, fax number, username, or any other information the BCF Websites collect or BCF collects via direct personal communication that is defined as personal or personally identifiable information under an applicable law or any other identifier by which you may be contacted online or offline.
Depending on which services you choose to use, BCF may require additional information, such as a store name, billing information (including billing address, phone number, credit card information), a mobile telephone number, a physical mailing address, and/or payment information. As a store owner or reseller, BCF may require information such as your social security number, or the equivalent, applicable tax ID, date of birth, bank account information and/or credit card information in order to verify your identity and provide this service to you.
You may also provide information to BCF such as the following: information that you provide by filling in forms; information provided at the time of registering to use BCF Websites; information when you enter a promotion sponsored by BCF; information when you report a problem with BCF Websites; records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses), if you contact BCF; your responses to surveys that we might ask you to complete for research purposes; details of transactions you carry out through the BCF Websites, in-person and of the fulfillment of your orders; financial information before placing an order through the BCF Websites and in-person; and your search queries on the BCF Websites.
See BCF's Terms of Use which prohibits the use of the BCF Shopping cart by users under the age of 18 without the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian. BCF does not intentionally solicit, collect or process information from anyone under the age of 18.
Basis for Processing BCF processes data based on (a) consent of the user; and (b) the necessity of the data for providing the services that users are contracting for when they become members of the BCF Websites or in-person. IF YOU DO NOT CONSENT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR DATA IN ORDER TO ACCESS AND USE THE BCF WEBSITES, PLEASE DO NOT USE, OR ENGAGE WITH, THE BCF WEBSITES.
Cross-Border Transfer Data centers and facilities hosting BCF’s data, including user data, are located within the United States. Accordingly, as an EU citizen, in order to access the services and content provided by BCF, your data may be transferred outside of the EU. By using the BCF Websites, you consent to the cross-border transfer of your data in order to receive access to the BCF Websites
Potential Recipients BCF does not provide your data to third party recipients who are not necessary to the services and content provided on the BCF Websites without your permission. Third parties who may receive your data so that BCF can provide the services and content on the BCF Websites include BCF’s cloud infrastructure provider and BCF’s third party marketing cloud provider

Data Retention Period BCF will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services.   If you no longer want BCF to use your information to provide you services, you may follow the “Withdrawal of Consent/Erasure” provision below. After closing your account, BCF will solely use your information as necessary to comply with any applicable legal obligations
Security Policies for Data BCF’s data security policy is detailed in the Privacy Policy located here. In summary, BCF has implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. All information you provide to BCF is stored on secure servers behind firewalls. Any payment transactions and other sensitive information will be encrypted using secure socket layer (SSL) technology. BCF follows generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted, both during transmission and once BCF receives it.
The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where BCF has given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of the BCF Websites, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. BCF asks you not to share your password with anyone.
Control of your data / Withdrawal of Consent / Erasure If, at any point, you no longer wish to have your personal data processed by BCF, wish to be forgotten, or wish to have your data erased, simply send an email to consentwithdrawal@BCF.com with the phrase “consent withdrawn” or “erase” in the subject line. Your request should include your name, shop name, email address and physical address. BCF will move expeditiously to stop the processing of your personal data and to remove your personal data from its systems. Please understand that, without access to your personal data, BCF may not be able to provide certain services. For example, BCF will not be able to send you communications, sales, offers, newsletters. Additionally, it may be impossible for BCF to fulfill purchases or sales without access to personal information.
Right to Correct, Access or Portability of Data and Associated Procedure You have the right to have any inaccurate data corrected by a data controller. You also have the right to request access to your data or request that BCF make your data portable to another data controller. In order to effect any such request, you should send the request to DPO@bcfministries.org. Your request should include your name, shop name, email address and physical address. BCF will endeavor to correct the data or to provide you your data in a simplistic and easily readable format as quickly as possible, but in no more than thirty (30) days.
