About BCF

About The Biblical Counseling Foundation (BCF) is organized to train and equip members of the body of Christ to face the challenge of living in a fallen world and to prepare them to disciple / counsel others using the Bible as their only authoritative source. BCF's training program is based strictly on the complete authority and sufficiency of the Scriptures.

A non-profit ministry BCF is a non-profit training ministry. Because we are non-profit, all donations are tax-deductible.

If you would like to make a donation online, you can go to the Donations Page on the BCF Store.
As the Lord continues to bless and expand the ministry, there are many needs that continue to arise. Some funds we have for donations include:
  • Ongoing Ministry Fund, which goes towards staff salaries, office equipment, office space, and other administrative and operating expenses.
  • The International Fund, which goes towards financial assistance to enable needy Non-US students to attend BCF-conducted courses.
  • The Prison Ministry Fund, which allows us to provide materials to prisoners.
Brief History Established in 1974, BCF is a non-profit ministry founded as a labor of love. From the very beginning, the BCF founders recognized that they were called to be a training resource to churches but not to establish BCF branches or offices that compete with local church ministries. Discipleship / counseling training should be conducted under the loving authority and leadership of the local body of believers (Ephesians 4:11-12). In turn, those who are faithful to the Lord are to be trained to help others (Galatians 6:1-5; II Timothy 2:2).

You can watch a clip of Robert Schneider talking more in-depth about the history of BCF on the Media & Downloads page.
